Metoda Off Pump, që do të thotë pa e ndaluar funksionin normal të zemrës pa futjen e pacientit në aparatin (pompen) ekstrakorporale, është një metodë e cila realizohet për herë të parë në Kosovë në fushën e kirurgjisë Kardio-Torakale, pas sukseseve të njëpasnjëshme të arritura në Spitalin Amerikan në Shqipëri.

Pacienti Agim Siqeca, me profesion mjek ortoped, pas koronarografisë së kryer është diagnostikuar me angina pectoris, një sëmundje e arterieve koronare dy vazale dhe nën kujdesin intensiv dhe të vazhdueshëm nga ekipi i kardiokirurgëve në Spitalin Amerikan, i është nënshtruar ndërhyrjes kirurgjikale prej 3 Bypass-esh në arterie, nëpërmjet metodës Off Pump.

Për të parën herë në Kosovë, në Spitalin Amerikan në Prishtinë është bërë ndërrimi i valvulës mitrale në zemër, ndërhyrje kjo kirurgjikale me një anestezion specifik i quajtur Anestezion Epidurialë, ku pacienti gjatë gjithë kohës është i vetëdijshëm dhe komunikon me doktorët.

50 vjeçari nga Ferizaj, Muzafer Asllani, është pacienti i parë në Kosovë, i cili me 29 Tetor të 2015, në Spitalin Amerikanë në Prishtinë kaloi me sukses intervenimin për ndërrimin e valvulës mitrale.

Shefi i repartit për Anestezi dhe Reanimacion,në Spitalin Amerikan, Gentian Huti, thoë se mundësia e komplikimeve përmes intervenimi me anestezion epidurialë është më e vogël dhe se rikuperimi i pas operacionit është shuam më i shpejtë.

Sipas tij, Dr. Gentian Huti, në raste të veçanta, ose në raste specifike është edhe një alternativ që është anestezia epidurale që është një gjilpërë që bëhet mbrapa në shtyllën kurrizore në nivele shumë të larta.

Kjo lloj anestezie sot në botë shihet si alternativ e anestezisë së përgjithshme vetëm në raste të veçanta kur pacienti paraqet probleme të tërthorta purminale. Kjo është më e mirë sepse mundësia e komplikacioneve me këtë lloj anestezie është më e vogël sesa nën anestezi të përgjithshme dhe rikuperimi pas operacionit është shumë më i shpejtë se sa nëse pacienti i nënshtrohet një anestezie të përgjithshme.

Një pjesë e rëndësishme e kësaj anestezie është edhe përgatitja psikologjike e pacientit përpara operacionit.

Me datë 29 tetor, iu nënshtrua intervenimit kirurgjik, ndërsa të nesërmen pacienti Muzafer Asllani ishte në gjendje të komunikonte me familjarët, miqt dhe madje edhe me gazetarët. Ai meniherë ishte në gjendje të mirë, këtë gjë e konfirmonte edhe vet ai.Gjatë operimit ai ishte plotësisht i vetëdijshëm dhe komunikonte me doktorët.

Tani ndihet shumë mirë. Problemi i tij ishte infeksioni i mushkërive, mjekët e Spitalit Amerikan i kanë propozuar që të bëjë operacion. Gjatë gjithë kohës së operimit pacienti ka qenë i vetëdijshëm, ka parë gjatë gjithë kohës, ka dëgjuari, dhe ka biseduar me mjekë.

Ai gjithashtu ka falenderuar shumë Spitalin Amerikan në Prishtinë, për mundësin që po i ofronë, jo vetë atij, por gjithë qytetarëve të Kosovës, që në këtë mënyrë të jenë në hap me mjekësinë botërore.

Dhe pas analizave që i janë bërë pacientit është vendosur që t’i bëhet ndërrimi valvulës me një anestezi specifike, atë epiduriale, që do të thotë është bërë ndërrimi i valvulës mitrale për pacientin në gjendje të zgjuar.

Bëhet fjalë për një pacientë të moshës së re , të viteve 50 vjeçar i cili është i sëmur nga një sëmundje valvulare, kishte sufisencë të theksuar të valvulës metrale dhe indikacioni ishte i qartë për ndërrimin apo riparimin e valvulës mitrale. Siç e donë mjekësia , para ndërhyrjes i bërë të gjitha analizat dhe pastaj u pa që pacienti në fjalë kishte probleme me infeksion akut pulmelar.

“Duke i parë gjitha këto aspekte vendosëm ta bëjmë me një anestezi pak më specifike apo një anestezi të rrallë. Çka do të thotë që pacientin e kemi operuar, është bërë ndërrimi i valvulës mitrale mirëpo pacienti gjatë gjithë kohës ka qenë i zgjuar, do të thënë, falë anestezisteve kolegëve këtu dhe Spitalit Amerikan në përgjithësi, pacienti ka qenë i zgjuar, kemi komunikuar me të gjatë gjithë kohës dhe në të njëjtën kohë është bërë edhe ndërhyrja”, tha Mjeku

Ndryshe, ky rast në Kosovë është intervenimi i parë i një ndërhyrje kirurgjikale të këtij lloji, ku pacienti falë anestezionit epidurialë gjatë kohës sa operohet është i zgjuar. Ndërsa në Shqipëri deri sot janë kryer 9 intervenime të këtij lloji.

Spitali Amerikan gjithashtu është i vetmi spital që ka realizuar transplantet e parë në vend.

[:en]For the first time in Albania, the International Medical Multidisciplinary Congress was held on “Continuing Education by Medical Professionals” organized by the American Hospital.

More than 12 clinical sessions were discussed at this event, with well-defined focuses on the contemporary achievements in the modern medicine.

This event, the first of this dimension in its specifics and with a global involvement, brought in Tirana many well-known figures and eminences of health from different specialties of the world medicine.

Well-known figures of medicine in Albania and Kosovo were granted Certificates of Gratitude in this event, for achievements and contributions in years, preparation of young generations of doctors, the dedication of their lives in service of patients and human values embodied by the professional doctor.

The President of the Republic, Mr. Bujar Nishani decorated Prof. Dr. Neyyir Tuncay Eren, cardio surgeon, for a very important contribution realizing the most difficult heart interventions, and for the first time realizing the coronarography and coronary artery revascularization in an acute condition of myocardial infarction – which was one of the most undisputed achievements of the cardio surgeons team. From born defects to valvular system problems; from aorta surgeries to bypasses; from aorta ascendens to femoral and carotide arteries, every cardiopathy that for 9 years have been treated by the talented team of the American Hospital.

The President Mr. Nishani decorated Prof. Dr. Seyit Mehmet Sadik Ersoz, a doctor of the American Hospital, who undertook a challenge for the Albanian medicine – the transplants of the Kidneys and Liver, realized for the first time in Albania. Today we count more than 80 transplants successfully performed by our team of surgeons and three centers of hemodialysis with a capacity of 381 beds, making the American Hospital the only center focused in the treatment of patients with renal insufficiency.

The American Hospital undertook to bring the Albanian patients what they deserved, that what is often sought outside Albania, what the Albanian medicine with all the talent and dedication of doctors, in the absence of conditions and technology, had not offered.

With the biggest and most important investment, the American Hospital, the First private hospital in Albania with the most advanced technology and specialized medical staff, brought the highest medical standards for Albanian patients.

Today, after 9 years, the hospital has 300 000 patients, who we are trying to hear the voice and become familiar with their requests one by one.[:]

[:en]For the first time in Albania, the American Hospital performs the kidney transplant. The team of doctors was composed of doctors from Turkey, USA, Austria and Albania. The first two transplants, performed in this hospital, were free of charge for the patients, although they are classified as operations with a very high cost. They were supported financially by the Albanian government, together with the Ministry of Defense and Health. The staff of professors in the operation was led by Prof. Dr. Ersoz Sadik, head of the Department of nephrology at the University of Ankara, and the chief of the Transplant Center at UA.

After the successful progress of the first two patients transplanted, the American Hospital undertook other 80 renal transplants with living donors, already based on the agreement with the Ministry of Health, under which the American Hospital undertakes the kidney transplant program, thus satisfying the need for patients to be transplanted in clinics abroad.

Patients underwent contemporary protocols defined by the collaboration of the entire team. The procedure conducted with the support of the Albanian Government continues to be monitored by the team and the American Hospital laboratory and it has all the attention of senior leaders of the American Hospital.

The key points enabling the American Hospital realize the transplant not performed before in Albania.

[:en]Under the special auspices of the Minister of Social Welfare and Youth, Mr. Erion Veliaj, the American Hospital has cooperated to help the 19 year old boy Sebastian Sinomati, from the Development Center for persons with disabilities, Vlora.

Contacted by means of a letter from the director of this institution in Vlora, Mr. Viktor Lami, regarding the concerns for the health of Sebastian; Mr.Veliaj has addressed and trusted the American Hospital for the realization of this particular surgery, the corneal transplant.

Sebastian Sinomati, diagnosed with a genetic disease, called neurofibromatosis, a rare tumoral disease, which had damaged completely the vision in his right eye, underwent a week ago in the American Hospital an intervention of the corneal transplant in one of his eyes. Under the care and supervision of the ophthalmologist Dr. Teuta Haveri and the specialist staff of oculists, the corneal transplant was realized successfully and the patient’s sight has returned.

Since 2009, 30 corneal transplants have been successfully realized until now in the American Hospital. In the advanced phases of keratoconus, when cornea is almost in perforation (breaking) the corneal transplant is the only method that could save the eye.[:]

[:en]The American Hospital, the first and the biggest health institution in Albania continues successfully the realization of the transplants, where recently the liver transplant was realized.

The doctors of this hospital realized successfully the liver transplant to a 34 year old patient, B. Xh. who underwent more than two weeks ago the liver transplant in the American Hospital. The specialized team made up of foreign and Albanian doctors like Prof. Dr. Sadik Ersoz, Dr. Kadir Burak Koza and Dr. Arben Murati, general surgeons have successfully realized this particular and difficult intervention for the surgery in the country.

The patient was diagnosed with hepatitis B, which had caused liver cirrhosis. The donor for this patient was his 60 year old mother, who after the proper examination, the doctors made sure that her liver was suitable for this transplant.

This intervention, the first of its kind not only in the Albanian medicine, but also in the regional one, was realized successfully.

According to the American Hospital doctors, the patient and his mother are in good health conditions and have faced successfully this intervention together.[:]
